How We Got Here

Our path wasn't exactly planned. It developed through conversations with people who felt locked out of financial decisions because the vocabulary felt foreign.

The First Glossary

Started as a simple spreadsheet explaining RRSP terms for friends. Grew into something people actually shared with their families.

Community Feedback

Partnered with Sudbury credit unions to test educational materials. Learned that jargon-free explanations changed how people approached their accounts.

Sienna spent twelve years working in financial compliance before switching to education. She got tired of seeing people sign documents they didn't fully understand. Now she turns regulatory language into something approachable without losing the nuance that actually matters.

She coordinates our term review process and manages relationships with the financial institutions that help us verify our explanations. When she's not dissecting prospectuses, she volunteers teaching financial literacy workshops in northern Ontario communities.
